Highlights From The Collection, High Museum of Art

Located in Atlanta, the High Museum of Art features a distinguished collection of more than seventeen thousand artworks and offers special exhibitions of international significance and community-focused educational programs that engage visitors with the world of art. Strengths of the collection include nineteenth- and twentieth-century American fine and decorative arts, major holdings of photography, works by folk and self-taught artists from the American South, modern and contemporary art including new media, African art dating from prehistory through the present, and European paintings and works on paper. The High’s campus is composed of buildings designed by Pritzker Prize–winning architects Richard Meier and Renzo Piano.
