Georges Seurat Eiffel Tower Socks

This oil painting on wood from 1889 was painted in the same year that the Eiffel Tower was erected as the entrance to the World's Fair. Seurat spent a lot of time preparing sketches of the Paris tower before completing the painting in his studio.
