America’s civil rights movement found its strength in the people who took to the streets to support it. Voices of Freedom revisits several key events and places shaped by America’s great nonviolent revolution. Leaders of the civil rights movement, marchers, activists, Freedom Riders, and photographers tell a powerful story and emphasize the need for today’s generation to continue to work for equality for all. This multiple CINE Award-winning piece was produced in association with the High Museum of Art, and was filmed, edited, and produced by Neal Broffman.
